Family Pictures 2012

We had some family pictures taken recently...  we have actually never had any taken since the little Lola's was born. :( Time just gets away from us all.  Pictures are always a little stressful, but always worth the worry after to have those memories documented.  The wonderful Corissa Ann took our pictures and she is so cute and made the experience easy and comfortable, and we loved that she captured some really great moments.  Thanks Corissa and now we have some "documentation" per say of our family. :)

I love this one of Lola because this is her go to smile- a little crooked with a crinkly nose. :)

Can't ever get enough of this girl's smile...she is so carefree and I hope she stays that way for a long time!

This is one of my favorites because I always want to remember how sweet and innocent these beautiful girls of mine are.  They are only little for a time and I forget that a lot. I hope I am setting a good example for them and that Alli will always look at me this way.

 I love these two hooligans!

Playing with Ace... Lola absolutely loves him and says "hi ace" every time she sees him

Eating good home town food like fry sauce and playing at the park

Lola has started walking short distances without assistance

And riding horsies of course with Papa and Uncle Rowdy

Alli's first "official" haircut

My cousin Kailee gave Alli her first haircut. She did really well and wanted to watch herself in the mirror the whole time. :) I figured it was time for a good trim and not a whack job from me, and now her hair can "grow like Rapunzel hair" as Alli says :).

Hoot Hoot Hooray! Lola May's 1st Birthday!!

It's hard to believe that Lola turned the big #1!!  She is one cute little stinker and we are so glad that she is in our family!  We had a little celebration on her big day with Nana, Aunt Laurie (they both happened to be in town on spring break) and of course the Wright's.  It was a fun little get together.

We went with an owl theme-I just love owls :)  Plus, she is only one and doesn't really care.  Next year she will probably be in love with some cartoon character, have a favorite princess or toy so I decided to take the cake on this one :)

*Owl Cake*
I was quite impressed by my abilities here, didn't think it was going to turn out, but surprisingly enough, it did :)

 Getting ready for the par-tay

Lola loves to look out our glass door so when she had visitors
come up to see her, she was thrilled! :)

The #1 on the cake is about all Lola really cared for.  She is a funny little thing.  Not too daring to try new things and if she doesn't like how it feels (texture wise) she WILL NOT touch it.

Yep-that's about all she could handle here folks :)  Smash cake? No thank you!

Look of fear on her face :)  It may have been the big "googly" eyes or something.  It was pretty funny

Don't worry, Big Sister arrived to convince Lola to try it.  Nope.  Not even.

Lola liked her presents!  Of course all the other littles helped her open them up :)

Now why Lola didn't want to eat this, I'm not sure ;)

Happy-Sweet-Fun-Loves to laugh-that's our Lola Babes

These pictures were priceless...she REALLY did not want anything to do with her cake.  It was funny to watch her facial expressions and body language

Seriously guys, I am NOT going to touch it!

It was a successful #1 (minus the smash cake)! ;)  I told Brian I was a little sad that she didn't want to just dive right into it, then Brian said "Lacy, is that her personality at all?"  Nope.  Not at all.  What did I expect?   Maybe if it didn't have those eyes... :)

Lola had a blast hanging out with her pals and she got lots of fun presents that she enjoys playing with.  She has the cutest belly laugh and loves to show off her 8 teeth!  Yes 8!!  The other day I had a lady ask me if Lola was "this happy all of the time?"  The answer is yes, yes she is (unless she is tired or hungry) other than that,  you will most likely get one big toothy grin out of her!

The morning after the big day playing with her new toys...

Love this girls "bed head" :)

One year stats to come...

Warmin' up

Living in Louisville during the winter is much better than it was in Ohio-mostly because there is no snow!  We have had pretty mild weather (minus the tornados) and have been able to go outside and ride bikes and play quite a few days this winter-yippee!  There is a playground right behind our house so I take the girls there on the nice days-Alli always asks to go to "the slide."  Lola even enjoys getting out and playing/swinging :)

We got a bike trailer to take the girls for rides and it also converts to a double stroller which has been needed if we ever want to go for walks etc.  The girls love it!  I think they also enjoy their helmets :)

Lookin' sweet in their new helmets-Lola's noggin' looks even bigger with a helmet on :) Still cute!

Alli enjoys going outside whenever possible and she is always asking to go out and "blow bubbles" so that's what we do.  She also likes to show off a little too :)

Alli is a silly thing- she was posing for the camera

 Alli's scary face :) Grrrr...

The girls also like to play with their computers-

This is a picture of Alli's name-its the first time she did it all by herself a few months ago.  She is getting pretty good at it.

I turned the big #28 this past month-yikes!  It was a nice b-day.  Going out to dinner with the hubs minus the kids, having an ice cream cake and hanging out with family and friends-what more could you want (besides maybe a weekend at the spa)? :) Overall, not too shabby!
